Downloading the FlexNet Publisher Licensing Toolkit for Java
· You need to have a browser such as Microsoft Internet Explorer installed to view the FlexNet Publisher Licensing Toolkit online documentation, or the free Adobe Reader to view the PDF versions.
· You will need a C compiler to build a production toolkit. The Release Notes contain specific information on supported compilers.
· To use the FlexNet Publisher Licensing Toolkit on Windows systems, you need to be logged in as a user with Administrator privileges.
· In addition to the above, the FlexNet Licensing Toolkit for Java requires the Sun Java Development Kit and a compatible version of the Sun Java Runtime Environment. See the Release Notes for the supported versions.
· Before installing the FlexNet Publisher Licensing Toolkit, you will need a set of vendor keys from Flexera Software. If you have not yet received an email containing these keys, please email contracts@flexerasoftware.com.

Downloading the FlexNet Publisher Licensing Toolkit
Create an installation directory on your local machine. Consult the table below to find the platform of interest. Using the link in the Platform-dependent Binary File column, download the installer into your installation directory. For best results, download the file directly to your machine and use a browser option (if available) to save the file to disk rather than open the file. If you transfer the file across platforms, transfer it in binary mode.

NOTE: Most toolkits for the Red Hat Enterprise Linux and SUSE Linux platforms have been replaced by Linux toolkits that have been certified by the Linux Foundation™ as being Linux Standard Base™ compliant.
